Following the overwhelming success of Visit Greater Palm Springs’ inaugural Spa Month in September, the City of Desert Hot Springs is welcoming back one of its most beloved traditions: the iconic Spa Tour. After a decade-long hiatus, the event returns bigger, brighter, and more deeply rooted in wellness than ever before.
Presented by the Miracle Hill Spas Association in partnership with the City of Desert Hot Springs, the revitalized Spa Tour will once again invite guests behind the scenes of the region’s famously private boutique spas—an experience wellness lovers have eagerly awaited. This year’s program goes beyond open doors, introducing a full lineup of wellness seminars, hands-on experiential classes, and spa day passes designed to immerse visitors in the healing power of the desert’s natural mineral waters.
A Return to Relaxation: The VIP & Self-Guided Spa Tour
The signature event, The VIP & Self-Guided Tour of the Spas on Miracle Hill, takes place Thursday, January 29, from 2–7 p.m. Participating spas will open their doors for an afternoon and evening of exploration, connection, and rejuvenation. Guests can tour multiple properties, meet local spa professionals, and experience firsthand the world-famous, naturally heated mineral waters that have defined Desert Hot Springs for generations.
Among this year’s standout destinations is Azure Palm Hot Springs, widely regarded as one of the most exciting wellness escapes in Desert Hot Springs. Known for its panoramic mountain views, luxurious mineral pools, and elevated spa experiences, Azure Palm adds a modern, serene touch to the tour, further cementing the city’s reputation as a premier hotspot for holistic healing.
A Full Weekend of Wellness
This year, the Spa Tour expands into a Spa Tour Wellness Weekend, where participating spas will offer a curated schedule of:
-
Wellness Education Seminars led by top experts in health, spa therapy, and holistic living.
-
Experiential Classes, from mindfulness sessions to mineral-water therapy workshops and beauty demonstrations.
-
Exclusive Spa Day Passes, inviting guests to enjoy soaking pools, saunas, mineral baths, and signature treatments.
“These spas have long been a treasured part of our community, and we’re thrilled to welcome back an event that celebrates everything that makes Desert Hot Springs so special,” said Mayor Scott Matas. “Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to reconnect with our mineral waters and traditions, the Spa Tour offers a truly restorative experience.”
