As the fifth property in the Mirbeau portfolio, the new resort marks an exciting expansion for the brand, offering travelers a luxurious wellness retreat just a short journey from New York City. Set across 64 picturesque acres, the estate combines rich architectural history with contemporary comfort and elevated spa experiences.
Originally home to Civil War General Joseph Howland, the historic mansion was designed by renowned architect Frederick Clarke Withers and later expanded by famed architect Richard Morris Hunt. Today, the restored Mansion and newly built Spa Château feature 72 guest rooms and suites thoughtfully designed to balance historic character with modern sophistication.
At the heart of the resort is Mirbeau’s expansive 25,000-square-foot spa, created as a complete wellness destination for both overnight and day guests. The spa experience includes the brand’s signature Aqua Terrace, eucalyptus-infused steam rooms, saunas, relaxation lounges, and a light-filled Solarium overlooking the tranquil grounds.
