Bota Bota, spa-sur-l’eau, the beloved floating sanctuary in Montreal’s Old Port, is marking its 15th anniversary with exciting news: a second boat will join the riverfront wellness destination in Winter 2026. This major expansion reinforces Bota Bota’s role as one of Quebec’s most innovative and unforgettable urban spa experiences.
Founded in 2010 by a family passionate about wellness and inspired to bring a water circuit to the heart of the city, Bota Bota, spa-sur-l’eau has grown into a respected institution. Over the years, guests have come to treasure its peaceful atmosphere, serene river views, and striking perspectives of Montreal’s skyline.
The new vessel, created in collaboration with Sid Lee Architecture, will be anchored perpendicular to the original boat and designed to elevate every part of the guest journey. The expansion will increase capacity while introducing fresh, contemporary features focused on rejuvenation and sensory immersion.

A spacious new sauna will host immersive Aufguss ceremonies, multisensory experiences guided by experts who blend essential oils, music, heat, and towel choreography. - Expanded Water Circuit
Guests will enjoy new cold baths for an optimized thermal cycle, a terrace hot tub with open-air views, and an indoor whirlpool featuring lighting, sound, and lush greenery for a fully immersive escape. - Enhanced Comfort & Inclusivity
Modernized changing spaces will include a gender-neutral locker room designed for universal accessibility.
