A seasonal facial is one of my favorite ways to give my skin a fresh start. So, when I planned a stay at the gorgeous Willows Lodge in the heart of Woodinville wine country, a spa visit was an essential part of my itinerary. Surrounded by nature yet just moments from nearby tasting rooms, the property strikes an inviting balance between relaxation and exploration.
I arrived with an unexpected rosacea flare-up, unsure of how the treatment would go. My esthetician, Hunnika, a Yon-Ka Paris Brand Ambassador who has been with The Spa at Willows Lodge for nine years, put me at ease immediately. The Spa at Willows Lodge uniquely offers a “To Be Decided” option when booking facials, allowing treatments to be tailored on the fly based on your skin’s immediate needs. Marsha Blacknell, Director of Spa and Operations, has been with Willows Lodge for 13 years and places a strong emphasis on ongoing technique and product training. The staff’s tenure and depth of skin knowledge are exceptional.
My treatment featured the Yon-Ka Paris line, customized with soothing masks, serums, moisturizers, and sunscreen. Founded in France in 1954 by the Mühlethaler family, Yon-Ka has built its legacy around phyto-aromatic skincare and its signature patented Quintessence, a 100% natural blend of five essential oils, lavender, geranium, rosemary, cypress, and thyme, selected for their complementary soothing, purifying, and revitalizing properties.
